And now for something completely different! The country & acoustic show! It doesn't fit with the blurb about what sort of music I play! Hey, whatever, it's still pop!

The set features two songs by Ryan Adams, at his best here as he's not really trying. He's a prolific and natural songwriter, tossing off numbers that are sometimes only pastiches of songs, filtering 70s classic rock nostalgia through (alt) country.

Also appearing is Johnnie Ray, of "Come On Eileen" fame. Almost deaf, he was the original wimp rocker, his stage antics gaining him a substantial female following. Story goes he managed to pick up Sinatra's girlfriend, and got beaten up for his trouble.
